Our Story

At first, we were just a group of newbie writers who met at local coffee shops or at friends' houses to critique each others' work. As the years went on, we wanted to inspire more people to write. Now, we want to go even further by using writing and art as a point of human connection, and through it begin a dialogue about the human experience.

Our Philosophy

God didn't create just one type of tree. His creation is vast, diverse and beautiful. As people, made in his image, we are gifted with creativity. It doesn't matter if you think you have a lot or a little. We believe it's part of being human. Our leadership, board and instructors hold to our "creativity rooted in faith" philosophy: A creative God made creative people.

Wherever you find yourself on your faith journey, welcome! We are a warm and inviting community. All are welcome to join. We write across genres, presenting the world as it is or as it could be. We seek to be honest, compassionate and helpful. We engage all kinds of literature, so that we can be aware of various perspectives, learn technique and have discussions that help shape our own artistic visions.

We hope to make your life richer through providing an encouraging writing community and by exploring literature together.
